Brent Mccown is a traditional Ta-Moko tattoo artist born in New Zealand and Te Kaha is a spokesperson of the Ngai Tuhoe and Ngati Kahungunu tribes (The first nation people of Aotearoa, New Zealand)

The lecture will take us through both the spiritual and technical aspect of the Ta Moko.
From the history of the Art through a hand carving demonstration of the ancient Ta Moko Tattoo tools (Uni and Pounamu) carved out of the Jade stone (The healing stone of Aotearoa) to a demonstration of live Tattooing.
The lecture also include a short seminar about all the DOs and DON’Ts of the Ta Moko Tattoo and as well teach you how to build your own Uni with the Pounamu stone (Jade stone).
